Finding the Right Maternity Blouses and Dresses
A maternity blouse and other maternity outfits (even intimate
maternity apparel) are most often worn by women around the fourth month
of their pregnancy, this can vary especially with moms on their second or third
pregnancy will often need earlier. On the other hand, mothers who have twins
or multiple children in their bellies may also need the maternity blouses and
dresses even in the first trimester.
Maternity
Clothes for Expectant Mothers
As time progresses during your pregnancy, the type of clothes that you will
need will still change. In the first or second trimester, you may be able to
get away with wearing stretch pants and loose dresses. Some women even wear
big chunky sweaters and just leave their pants unbuttoned but as your stomach
expands towards the third trimester, you may not be able to fit into your normal
clothes anymore even if you are on a good pregnancy
workout routine.
You do not need to invest in an entire wardrobe overhaul during your pregnancy.
You can simply make do with a few basics such as three to four pairs of slacks,
several tops and maybe a pair of maternity jeans. Some women just buy several
loose dresses which can take them through their entire pregnancy.
If you hear of end of season sales or clearance sales, make sure that you are
there looking for cheap options for maternity clothes. Most maternity clothes
do not come cheap, especially those pants with the huge elastic waistband that
women who have been pregnant swear by. You may want to place a pregnancy
pillow under your clothes to get an idea of what size you will be when you
are in your eighth and ninth months. Also, when you are out shopping for baby
playpens or other safety equipment , always keep your eye out for maternity
clothes deals.
Pregnant women will also need new brassieres that they can wear during their
pregnancy. You can use bra expanders which can be placed in your regular bras
during the early stages of the pregnancy. Later on, you will need to buy nursing
bras and accessories to make it more convenient for you once your baby is
born.
One important piece of maternity wear that you should neve overlook is a good
ole fashioned pair of support
hosiery for pregnant leg problems and while you are at it you should also
look into prenadle
cradles for even more support.
While women normally gain anywhere from twenty to thirty pounds during a pregnancy,
the advantage of choosing maternity clothes over simply getting oversized ones
is that they are tailor-made to fit in all the right places. Maternity blouses
and dresses take into account that your belly will expand the most while the
rest of your body may not gain as much weight. Aside from this, most maternity
clothes are easy to put on and take off for additional convenience for pregnant
women.
